Brandon Robinson is originally from Detroit, MI, has been living in NC since 2003, and now has a wife and two daughters. Brandon has been engaged in the industry of substance use disorder since 2001 and began practicing professionally after gaining clinical licensure in 2005. Brandon attended Western Michigan University for a BS in Psychology and then on to East Carolina University for a Master’s in Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling.
Brandon is now a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and Certified Clinical Supervisor. Brandon owns Counseling Choices, a private practice in Raleigh, which entails providing clinical supervision, conducting highly structured clinical interventions for families struggling to get their loved one into treatment, and also sees clients out of this location who suffer from substance use disorder and other co-occurring conditions. Most notably, between 2012 and 2019 Brandon was the clinical director for Wake County Drug Treatment Court, where Brandon helped integrate policies on harm reduction approaches into the criminal justice system.
Brandon has a passion for helping others and specifically has an ongoing interest in the improvement of clinical practice within the addiction field. In his free time, he loves to golf, follow sports, watch crime documentaries, and garden. Overall, Brandon is a reasonable and laid back person, other than his delusional belief that each year he feels the Detroit Tigers baseball team will make it to the World Series.
