Professional Background

Autumn (she/her) completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Western Michigan University. During this time she contributed to research for the Federal Department of Education and the National Reading Panel. She has over twenty years of experience working in charter, parochial, and public schools with children ages two through twenty-two.
Autumn has extensive knowledge of the special education process in the school system and expertise helping to identify and support children with disabilities. She has completed evaluations of all types including gifted assessment, autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, behavioral and emotional disabilities, and intellectual disabilities.
Autumn also specializes in the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), a framework that aims to improve student achievement by utilizing evidence-based practices in the areas of academic, behavioral and social-emotional learning.

Areas of Focus

Autumn utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients increase satisfaction in their lives and relationships. Additional services include executive functioning coaching and social communication skills training.
Autumn also provides a unique service in mobile assessments to underserved areas of North Carolina. She is currently accepting clients out-of-network or out of pocket expense until her in network insurance approvals are completed. She accepts cash, check, credit card or Venmo. Personal Perspective

In her spare time, you can find Autumn enjoying game night with her husband and two teenage daughters, reading, hiking, or enjoying the sunshine at the beach.
Autumn has dedicated her life to advocating for young children who have a quiet voice. You can also find her working towards increasing mental health services for children, gender affirming care, and decreasing generational poverty and generational trauma.
